These delicate orange gems are little beauties of a wetland habitat.
As a member of the Impatiens family the seeds can be collected to be sown elsewhere but keep in mind that they do favor regular watering.
If you love Bumblebees then you'll love this Virginia wildflower. The bobbing of the blossoms from these visiting bees is ever constant..... from first bloom until the last flower has faded. What a pleasure to see their enjoyment!
These flowers are not only "jewels" for their beauty but have long been prized for their medicinal uses. A desirable weed indeed ;0)
