hopefully one falls to a friendly place
Wow, you really have a knack for capturing the mantids in some interesting moments.
Do you know what kind of caterpillar that is?
My Catalpa Tree was covered with these.... Catalpa Sphinx Moth. I have to shake the tree many times to keep them from eating every leaf. This past year I was preoccupied with other things and forgot. They stripped it bare... therefore no blooming. The tree produced new leaves and a whole new generation of caterpillars ensued feasting. Those caterpillars will emerge from their pupas next year. The caterpillars are pretty aren't they ;0)
Dinner.
Nina... a dinner that surely won't fit in my recipe box ;0) yuck!
